Decatur Housing is made up of 34 Units:

  • 18 Units offer 1 bedroom
  • 10 Units offer 2 bedrooms
  • 4 Units offer 3 bedrooms
Decatur Housing is Public Housing. The applicant's income must meet income limits and other tenants' selection criteria. Our mission is to provide safe, decent and sanitary housing for low-income families to promote personal, economic, and social upward mobility, and to provide families with the opportunity to make the transition from subsidized to non-subsidized housing.

The tenants pay for the gas and electric and Decatur Housing pays for the water, sewer and trash removal. Lawn care is provided.


All units are furnished with a gas range, refrigerator, and washer and dryer hook-ups. There is a front & back porch, and exterior storage.


Grounds and grass are maintained by Decatur Housing Maintenance. The Community Room is available for tenant's use to play cards, pot luck, family gatherings, birthday parties, and so on.
